Mammography

St. Joseph Heritage Medical Group offers screening mammograms at the Orange Medical Facility. If you have previously used our facility for your screening mammogram you can call our office at (714) 628-3305 to find out when you should schedule your next mammogram.

What is a screening mammogram? 
A screening mammogram is an x-ray of the breast used to detect breast changes in women who have so signs or symptoms of breast cancer. Screening mammograms save women’s lives through early detection of breast cancer.

Who should get mammograms? 
Women age 40 and older should have a screening mammogram every 1 to 2 years. If you have a family history of breast cancer, your doctor may have a different recommendation.
