Participating in a support group where you can share information and feelings with other patients can be an important part of the process of healing. The following are some support groups offered through the Center for Health Promotion.

Programs
- Depression Program for Women -
Six-week program to help women learn how thoughts, feelings and behaviors affect one another; improve self-esteem; and learn problem-solving skills.
Six-week program on Thursdays, 4 – 5:30 p.m.
Life Skills Program - Six-week educational series on self-esteem, setting boundaries, communication skills, conflict resolution and other topics.
Support Groups
No referral is necessary to attend support groups. Please call (714) 628-3242 for more information.
Depression Support Group for Women - Continue to practice good self-care and strengthen your social suport newtwork. Must complete six-week Depression Program for Women prior to joining this support group.
Diabetes Support Group
Meet others living with diabetes, share concerns and coping strategies.
- First Friday of each month, 10 - 11:30 a.m. or
- Second Tuesday of each month, 2 – 3:30 p.m.
Living with Chronic Health Conditions Support Group
Share concerns, success stories and coping strategies for dealing with chronic health conditions. Provides information on how behavior and attitude can promote good health.
- Second Wednesday of each month, 2 - 3:30 p.m.
