Our History
The name St. Joseph has special significance in Orange County. For more than 79 years that name has signified the most important values in healthcare: Dignity, Service, Excellence and Justice. These are the values of the Sisters of St. Joseph of Orange, who founded the renowned St. Joseph Hospital in Orange. And those same sustaining values are keystones for the physicians and specialists of St. Joseph Heritage Medical Group.

St. Joseph Heritage Medical Group was founded in 1964 as Yorba Park Medical Group, but in 1999 we changed our name to reflect our affiliation with St. Joseph Hospital. We are a primary care medical group of approximately 45 physicians and medical providers, with a referral panel of over 200 other healthcare professionals and specialists. And we contract with a large number of health plans to serve your needs. 

With three locations in Central Orange County (Orange, Santa Ana and Tustin), you'll find we offer you and your family extraordinary convenience. Each of our one-stop locations places an emphasis on family-centered medicine, with physicians specializing in family practice, internal medicine and pediatrics. Additionally, we offer an on-site laboratory, X-ray services, mammograms, a diagnostic testing center, health education services and much more. And to meet your urgent healthcare needs when the unexpected happens, we have Urgent Care Centers in Orange and Santa Ana with weekday, weekend and holiday hours.
